JGP Gestão de Crédito (JGP Credito) was a Brazil-based independent asset manager founded in May 2011 by JGP and the investment team of Root Capital. Its main goal is to managed credit funds consisting of Brazilian corporate debt, including non-performed and defaulted loans, in the majority originated and acquired from banks, investment funds, and other financial institutions. The firm managed credit funds with a five-year duration. JGP Credito activities were segregated from JGP Gestão de Recursos Ltda since some of the assets analyzed are non-public and confidential.
